The newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullaev presented his credentials to the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella.
The ceremony took place at the official residence of the President of Italy in Rome - the Quirinale Palace.
During the conversation, Sergio Mattarella warmly remembered his official visit to Uzbekistan on November 9-11 this year, noting that the visit left an unforgettable impression on him.
At the meeting, the high importance of promoting strategic dialogue between the two countries was confirmed, and the interest of both parties in effectively using the prospects for political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy was emphasized.

At the end of October this year, Abat Fayzullaev arrived in Rome as the appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy.
In 2020–2023, he headed the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria and part-time in Hungary. At the same time, he was the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and UN organizations in Vienna.
