A Set of Bilateral Documents on Further Development of Multifaceted Uzbek-Italian Cooperation Adopted

Following the talks between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, a joint statement was adopted on further development of relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

In the presence of the Heads of State, an Intergovernmental Agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports and agreements on cooperation in the fields of education, science, technology, innovation and sport were also signed.

In accordance with the program of the Uzbek-Italian summit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Sergio Mattarella took part in the tree planting ceremony.

On the Alley of Honored Guests of the Kuksaroy residence, the heads of state planted a spruce tree, which will become another symbol of the strengthening traditional relations of friendship between our peoples, the expansion of multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Italy.
